Good news — it’s not complicated, it doesn’t require fancy tools, and you don’t need to be a nail pro. With a few simple habits, you can enjoy salon-quality nails that stay put and look great day after day.

And yes, I’m speaking from experience. I haven’t used liquid polish since 2018 — and I’ve never looked back.

Simple Steps for Flawless, Long-Lasting Nail Strips

Whether you’re brand new to nail strips or have a drawer full of favorites, these basics make all the difference.

1. Start With Squeaky-Clean Nails

This step is non-negotiable.
Wash your hands, skip lotion beforehand, and wipe each nail with an alcohol prep pad. Oils are the enemy of long wear — clean, dry nails are your best friend.

2. Shape Gently

Light filing and buffing helps create a smooth surface for the strips to grip. Be kind to your nails — no need to overdo it.

3. Apply With Purpose

Stretch the strip slightly as you place it on the nail and smooth it down firmly, especially near the tips. Press the edges well, fold excess over the edge, then remove. This little extra attention goes a long way.

4. Seal the Tips (Optional but Powerful)
